Avatar - The Rift Library Edition Cover Recently announced was the Library Edition of The Rift trilogy. The selection, like previous Avatar comic library editions, will contain all volumes of the series (The Rift Parts 1 through 3) in a collective set manner. This collection set of all three Rift comic books is expected to release on February 24, 2015. Furthermore, this set is also expected to contain a brand new sketchbook section!

Avatar FCBD 2014 Shells Free Comic Book Day 2014 turned out to be quite successful. Many people were able to get their hands on exclusive comics from their local shops and take part in the widespread culture. 

 As I'm sure that many of us are aware, the Avatar comics have been a part of FCBD for many years in the past. In fact, last year's free Avatar comic Mai's Rebound became an instant hit amongst the fans. This year's comic, which features Sukki and Sokka, also received much anticipation.

 For those who were not able to pick up a copy, here are the scans for the comic as well as an available zip download link.

Avatar - The Rift Part 3 (Comic Book) Release Date & Cover

Avatar The Rift Part 3 The final installment of The Rift comic trilogy has just been announced. Avatar: The Rift Part 3 will be releasing on November 18, 2014.

 The comic will be written by Gene Luen Yang, illustrated by Gurihiru (a Japanese illustration studio), and published by Dark Horse Comics.

 The book is already available on Amazon for pre-ordering.

As of now, there aren't any plot descriptions available, but upon further update, they will be added to this page.

Free Avatar Comic - Details About FCBD 2014 (Free Comic Book Day)

Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is an internationally-recognized event in which local participating comic book shops across the world distribute free comics to anyone who comes into their stores. It is held each year on the first Saturday of May, this year's being on May 3rd.

Avatar comics have been present among the several titles offered at FCBD for the past few years. This year's comic selection of 2014 will feature, yet again, another short Avatar comic book.

Gene Luen Yang, who contributed towards The Promise, The Search and the The Rift trilogies, will be returning to work on this year's exclusive story. I was able to contact him and he provided me with a few details on the comic. 

 He told me that Faith Erin Hicks will be joining him in the production of the comic by completing the illustrations. Yang also introduced a a little bit about the storyline as well:

 "It stars Suki and Sokka. We were able to incorporate some Kyoshi Warrior back story that Bryan and Mike described to us, that didn't make it into the original animated series," tells Yang to UltimateKorra.

Additionally, Dark Horse Comics (who are the publishers) even have a short description regarding the comic on their website: Sokka follows Suki as she gives a lesson in manners and encourages a young girl’s strength. The comic will be fairly short, only 10 pages long.

If you would like to read an 8-page preview before you download, check this page. Also, I highly recommend purchasing a copy of the book as well. It's always beneficial to support the publishers.

Avatar - The Rift Part 2 The details for the highly anticipated comic book, The Rift Part 2 have been revealed. The release date has been officially announced as July 2, 2014, which is when it will be available in comic book stores. On Amazon, the title will be available on July 29, 2014.

Avatar is one of those few TV shows that have marvelous and highly popular comic books to go along with it. The Promise and The Search are both very successful comic book trilogies that were developed based on the Avatar: The Last Airbender & Legend of Korra storyline.

 Recently announced was yet another comic book series, titled The Rift. Below are the first eight pages from the first edition of The Rift, which will release on March 5, 2014. Pre-ordering is also available for this comic-book on the official publisher's website - Dark Horse Comics.

Avatar The Search nominated for GoodReads's best graphic novel Avatar - The Search Part 1 has recently been nominated for GoodReads.com's Best Graphic Novels & Comics of 2013.

 The book, which is part of The Search trilogy, focuses on Zuko and his quest to find his mother Ursa. The series is also a sequel to The Promise series and is a prequel to the new Avatar based trilogy, The Rift.

Avatar - The Rift Trilology Cover and Release Date Avatar - The Rift is a new upcoming comic-book trilogy series based on the storyline from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Rift Part 1 will be releasing on March 5, 2014.

 A sequel series to The Search comic-books (which is a continuation of The Promise), this series is said to focus on Aang and the process of creating Republic City. Additionally, Toph will also share a main-role, who was absent from The Search trilogy.

 The Rift will be written by Gene Yang, an award-winning comic-book author. The illustrations will be done by Gurihiru and publications will be completed by Dark Horse Comics.

Each year, the first Saturday of May is recognized as Free Comic Book Day. This day, participating comic book shops across the nation offer free comic books to people who come in, free of charge!

 The great thing about this year's event was many comic book shops gave out copies of an Avatar comic called, Rebound. Many people heard the news and tried get a hold of the free Avatar comic, but they weren't as successful as the lucky few who did. The comics ran out of stock real fast! I, personally, am not to surprised. I mean, who would give up the chance to get a FREE Avatar Comic book? Well, maybe people who have over-dosed on cactus juice...

 So, being the awesome admin I am, I decided to release the comic book for download! Below, you can download the free comic, read it, and enjoy it!

Avatar - The Search Part 3 LEAKD

I was casually surfing online, when something caught my eye. Thats right... the cover for Avatar - The Search: Part 3!

 This caught me by surprise, as I'm sure it might've done so for you as well. Extremely excited upon seeing it at first, I was overwhelmed with joy. I had not expected a cover for Part 3 to be released so soon, especially when Part 1 was released only a few weeks earlier.

However, then I began to think about many leaks and false alarms the fandom has encountered in the past, I started having second thoughts. Could it really be the legitimate cover?

 Pondering on the thought, I decided we won't be able to officially verify that until a later. However, in my opinion, the cover seems pretty valid. The art-work and signatures seem to be in place. Notice the Guri-Hiru signature mark on the left of Zuko's waist. This marks that the image cover has been produced officially by Guri-Hiru Studios (Japanese company that designed many aspects of Avatar, such as The Search covers)  so I think it's safe to say that this cover is the right one!

Avatar The Last Airbender - The Search are a collection of comic-books based on the Avatar world. The main plot of the trilogy is finding Zuko's mother. Along the way, the encounter many problems, twists and turns, as well as rising conflicts with Azula.

 The Search Part 2 will be released on July 10, 2013. However, it is now officially available for pre-ordering on Amazon and the Dark Horse website.

Legend of Korra Novel "Endgame" Release Date

As an addition to the Legend of Korra Junior Novelization Series, Endgame, will be releasing on July 23, 2013. 


It is part two of this novel series, as a sequel to the Revolution (which was released January 8, 2013.) It will be based on the last 6 episodes of Book 1 (Air) of Legend of Korra.
