The Legend of Korra: Video-Game Releasing Fall 2014 (Gameplay, Details, & First-Look)

Legend of Korra video game by Platinum Games & Activision for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, & PCPlatinum Games recently announced their interest towards developing a Legend of Korra action game for main-stream gaming consoles. Talks spread across the board amongst Nickelodeon and Activison, and before long, the game was already deep into process of becoming a reality.

 The directors from Platinum as well as Activision decided to debut some details regarding the video game at this year's San Diego Comic Con. Teaming up with IGN, they were able to execute a presentation, which included game-play and a first-look, as well as discuss what is held in store for fans who will be purchasing the game.

 While a definitive release date has not been decided of now, it is confirmed that the game will be releasing this fall. The supported platforms are Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PC. Watch the presentation below, which includes gameplay, a first-look, and an exclusive interview from the directors.


Republic City Run: New Legend of Korra Game

Nickelodeon has released a new Legend fo Korra game called Republic City Run on to their website. It is an action game on the Nickelodeon website where the player plays as Korra.

 The simple objective is to run through the course without getting attacked by chi-blockers. A player can use their chi to bend elements towards these blockers when they are coming your way.

 A player starts off with 3 lives. Upon getting hit by a chi-blocker, the player will lose a life. Along the courses of the game, a player can also pick up coins called Yuans. These yuans can then be used to buy character/game upgrades for a more enyoable gameplay.

  The game also records the amount of meters you run. As a rough estimate, I would say that 1 real life second is about 2 meters in the game.

Do you want to be a bender just like Aang the Avatar? Now you can! There are many Avatar the Last Airbender games on Nick.com, but this one caught my eye the most. In the game you start off by choosing your element, air, earth, fire, or water. After you choose your element you even get to customize your own character! In this game you battle your way through opponents, and if you beat them you move on to the next match. It is a battle bending tournament. There are many combinations of moves you can do. There are attack modes and defense moves. The attack moves damage your opponents health and the defense moves block incoming attacks. This game can be found on the Nickelodeon website and is fun for all!

The highly anticipated Legend of Korra action game from Platinum Games finally has a release date. Get ready to mark your calenders for the following corresponding console systems:

 October 21, 2014 — Playstation 3, 4 ; PC

 October 22, 2014 — Xbox 360, Xbox One

How to Play Pai-Sho in Real Life - Avatar: The Last Airbender (Rules & Pieces)

Upon watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, we all fell in love with Uncle Iroh. His unique and wise presence provided the show with insightful meanings and valuable morals. Furthermore, I bet there isn't a single Avatar fan who wasn't intrigued by the concept of Pai-Sho. It was never really explained, but there seemed to be a whole history and strategy behind it that still needs to be fully sought.

 After browsing several home-made rules throughout the web, I finally found one that was simple yet strategic. Upon playing it, I was dazzled by the simplistic beauty and the valuable concept it provided. Today, I am sharing all this information with you, fellow Avatar fans, because I believe I have found a Pai-Sho version that Uncle Iroh would truly be proud of.
Each side sets up symmetrically with 8 pieces that all move the same. The object is to then set up “harmonies”, which are unblocked connections between 2 pieces, over the 4 major dividing lines of the board. 
It’s a simple concept- from there, additional pieces can be brought in as players defend their own harmonies and try to disrupt opponent’s harmonies, either by blocking it or capturing the piece.
Capturing pieces is allowed, but often I found myself choosing not to do so. There were many times I found myself deciding instead to advance my own harmonies. This conflict between setting up your own pieces and blocking the others is a constant struggle in the game. It’s easy to get so caught up in your own strategies that you miss a crucial harmony of the opponents.

Uncle Iroh’s words still ring true long after his time on the show ended. His zen message to Prince Zuko about forgetting revenge and instead accepting life, love, and tea are words that we can all hope to live by.

We summarize Uncle’s philosophy as this: Believe in yourself, your friends and your family, and forget the rest. Even when he and Zuko lived homeless in Basingse, Uncle never lost faith or his positive outlook.

Of course, none of us will ever meet Uncle, so he won’t realize the effect he’s had on the millions of Avatar fans out there. However, in honor of Uncle Iroh, enjoying the ancient game of Pai-Sho is the closest connection we may get to the spirit of Avatar!

Rise of the Avatar Weekend Marathon on Nicktoons Nicktoons will be hosting an Avatar: The Last Airbender marathon from Friday, June 13th, 2014 through Sunday, June 15th. Legend of Korra Book 3 Schedule SDCC Online DigitalThese past few days have truly been what Book 3 is all about — Change. Major announcements have been delivered back-to-back including the transition of Book 3 to digital presentation rather than on-air television. Up until it was explained more thoroughly at the comic-con panel, there seemed to be much confusion on how the remainder of the season would go about.

 To reiterate from a previous article, the remainder of Book 3 will be premiering online only, through select partner platforms including Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, Hulu, Nick.com, and the Nick App. Below is the schedule and timings for the last five episodes of Book 3: Change.

Book 3 of The Legend of Korra Moving to Online Premieres Only

Book 3 Digital PremieresYes. It is official. Book 3: Change has officially been moved to digital presentation. After this Friday's premiere of The Terror Within at 8/7c, the remaining 5 episodes of the season will be aired online only.

 Starting August 1st, the supported platforms including Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, Hulu, Nick.com, and the Nick App will be some of the only places where new episodes will premiere. As of now, Netflix is NOT part of the list. Also to confirm many people's confusion: YES, Book 4 is still going to be releasing.

Hey Korra Nation! Phew. Some of you may have heard versions of this news elsewhere, but here’s the official word. After this Friday’s on-air premiere of Episode 8 “The Terror Within” at 8/7c, all remaining Book 3 episodes will move to a digital rollout. That means two things: 1) Korra is NOT cancelled, 2) the remaining episodes will roll out weekly on Nick.com and the Nick app beginning August 1, as well as on platforms like Amazon, Google Play, Xbox and Hulu.
Thousands of you have been asking to watch this incredible show online, so hopefully this news works in your favor. Mike and Bryan created a breath-taking season for us all…so get ready to watch it all go down!!!
