The Legend of Korra - Video Game Release Date, Book 4 Expectations, & Interview With Creators

The highly anticipated Legend of Korra action game from Platinum Games finally has a release date. Get ready to mark your calenders for the following corresponding console systems:

 October 21, 2014 — Playstation 3, 4 ; PC

 October 22, 2014 — Xbox 360, Xbox One

 Watch IGN take a seat with the creators Mike DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko as well as voice actors Janet Varney (Korra) and David Faustino (Mako) as they discuss the video-game, Book 3's finale, and the upcoming Book 4! Additionally, the video features some spectacular gameplay and in-depth look at some of the aspects of the game.

Janet Varney Recording Session for Book 4 Legend of Korra Voice-Acting Star voice of Korra, Janet Varney, has already begun her voice-acting works for Legend of Korra's Book 4. Displayed here is a screenshot of her and co-creator Mike Dante DiMartino from one of her recent Instagram posts, captioned with the following:

 "Recording a fight scene from LOK at Nickelodeon with Justin, mike_dante_d and Shannon telling me to yell louder!"

 Although Varney doesn't directly state she is working on Book 4, it is safe to assume that she is. At this point, the production of Book 3 (including voice recordings), animation and post-production processes are already complete according to Studio Mir. Therefore, she must be working on the upcoming season 4 for Korra.

Legend of Korra Production Cast: Melchior Zwyer (director), Lauren Montgomery (supervising producer), Joaquim Dos Santos (co-executive producer), Ki-Hyun Ryu (supervising producer), Bryan Konietzko (co-creator), Owen Sullivan (assistant director), and Michael Dante DiMartino (co-creator) Bryan Konietzko (co-creator of Avatar & Korra) posted this production team shot on his blog explaining the progress thus far in terms of the upcoming seasons of Legend of Korra. He states that the fans should expect Book 3: Change very soon and he also reveals that Book 4 is already in phases of pre-production. Konietzko continues on to mention that the production team had just finished their final animatic meeting for the Book 4 finale.

 Book 4 production is definitely well-under way and Book 3 is just around the corner. For now, we'll just have to bear with leaks and trailers.

 But until then, keep an eye out for those dragons!
