Book 3 Digital PremieresYes. It is official. Book 3: Change has officially been moved to digital presentation. After this Friday's premiere of The Terror Within at 8/7c, the remaining 5 episodes of the season will be aired online only.

Starting August 1st, the supported platforms including Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, Hulu, Nick.com, and the Nick App will be some of the only places where new episodes will premiere. The Legend of Korra - The Remainder of Book 3 Will Be Taking a Break (Korra Hiatus)

Legend of Korra Hiatus Break
UPDATE (9:58 PM Eastern):
Bryan Konietzko (co-creator of Avatar & Korra) posted this just a few hours ago on his blog. It seems that Korra isn't necessarily going to be taking a break. As noted, Konietzko states about the show moving to digital. And of course, updates and further news will follow as the week goes on and from San Diego Comic Con. Be sure to follow us on social media to stay informed. (Update 11:03 PM - Mike also posted regarding Book 3 via Facebook. Screenshot is below.)

The worst of the worst has just gotten WORSE...

I'm sure that from taking a glance at the title of this article, you may already have a slight understanding of what is going on.

That's right. The Legend of Korra's current Book 3 season has just been put on a hiatus. Basically, Nickelodeon has pulled the last five episodes from the expected schedule and announced a temporary break in the season.

With having 7 episodes already aired, there will be one last episode (The Terror Within) this Friday on July 25th (8/7c) instead of the usual two. After that, there will be no future episode premieres until further notice.

Most believe this temporary pause was put into affect due to the poor ratings Book 3 has been accredited with up until this point. The highest viewership so far this season was on the initial premiere with 1.5 million, still unsatisfactory for Nickelodeon's standards. Since then, the ratings have only plummeted, going as low as 1.1 million viewers for the fourth and fifth episode premieres.

Only time can tell what Nick has in store for the future of Book 3. With the San Diego Comic Con panel coming up this weekend, we are expecting to hear more about this hiatus and hopefully news regarding the resuming of the rest of the season.

The Legend of Korra - Book 3: Change Episode Plot Descriptions & Premiere Dates

Legend of Korra Book 3: Change Episodes Description and Premiere Date
As Book 3: Change is continuing to air on Nickelodeon as the third installment of the Legend of Korra series, it is important that viewers stay up to date with episode details and scheduling information. Not only will this increase pleasant anticipation amongst fans, but it will also allow them to have the full pleasurable effect of experiencing an in-season television series.

After all, these past weeks may have been confusing and quite sudden for some of us. Upon only one week gap-time between the official announcement for Book 3 and it's premiere, not only did Nickelodeon face drastically low ratings in comparison to previous premieres, but also left many fans confused and rather startled. Along with being a rather short season with only 13 episodes, this book has also been stated to premiere two episodes at a time. This results in two effects: short in-season time for Book 3 and a loooong wait for Book 4.

To retrospect, there have been flaws in terms of the overall delivery of Book 3. Promotional marketing factors and premiering time slots seem to be a nice chunk of the issue.

But enough of that; let's focus on why you're at this article in the first place... That's right, you want to take a look at some of the plot details of the upcoming episodes. They are presented below along with their description and premiere date. The schedule below will be updated accordingly to future reports.

(Schedule) The First 9 Episode Titles and their Premiere Dates from Book 3: Change

Book 3: Change Legend of Korra Episodes Schedule
It seems as if Book 3: Change has been truly living up to its name — but not in a good way. With the new season's premiere occurring after only one week of minimal promotion, The Legend of Korra faced poor ratings and significantly decreased viewership in comparison to the first two books. Most of the community was quick to blame Nickelodeon for their poor marketing strategies and lack of promotion time before the official premiere. Fans did not hesitate to express their concerns to Nickelodeon on Twitter, but yet often received amused & unhelpful replies.

In terms of scheduling, Nick had also taken it to Twitter to confirm that the rest of the Book 3 episodes would air two at a time every Friday at 8PM Eastern starting on July 11th. For now, here are the scheduled premiere dates for the first 9 episodes of Book 3 (Will be updated as needed).

Also, now would be a good time to let you all know that the aired Book 3 episodes are available to watch in full-length right here on our website. Episodes will be updated and added as needed after they have been premiered. Watch Book 3: http://korra.us.to/Book-3

Schedule Date for Episode 4 & 5 Confirmed (1 Hour Premiere) & Exclusive Clip

Book 3: Episode 4 In Harm's Way ScreenshotNickelodeon recently confirmed an update regarding the schedule of Legend of Korra's Book 3 through their Twitter in response to a tweet. A Korra-fan tweeted, asking them if episodes 4 & 5 will be premiering the same day. Unusually enough, Nick responded, confirming that the two episodees will be airing together.
The legend of Korra Book 3 Episode 4 Chapter Title Sequence

Personally, I found it quite surprising due to the fact that Nickelodeon has had a reputation for ignoring Korra fan's and their yearning tweets for season updates. Nonetheless, it was confirmed and now we have the follwoing information in our hands: Episode 4 titled In Harms Way and episode 5 titled The Metal Clan will be airing together on Friday, July 11, 2014. Of course, their will be no new episodes for the previous week due to Independence Day in the United States. Also released by Nick was an exclusive clip from Episode 4 of Book 3:

The Legend of Korra - Book 3 Release Date & Exclusive Clip

The wait is finally over for Legend of Korra fans as we have finally received a release date for Book 3: Change!

There is also an expected break in the season schedule for the Fourth of July until the Book 3 of The Legend of Korra will resume it's normal television timeslot at 8PM on Friday's starting July 11th.

Book 3: Episode 1 - "A Breath of Fresh Air" — After the events of Harmonic Convergence, Avatar Korra discovers that her decision to leave the spirit portals open has unexpected consequences. Wild spirit vines have overgrown Republic City and Airbenders are suddenly popping up across the four nations.

Book 3: Episode 2 - "Rebirth of a Nation" — Korra, Tenzin and Team Avatar search for new Airbenders in an effort to recruit them and rebuild the Air Nation. Meanwhile, a band of sinister criminals are organizing to hunt down the Avatar themselves.

Official Trailer Revealed for The Legend of Korra - Book 3: Change

Book 3 Change The first official trailer for Book 3: Change of The Legend of Korra was finally revealed by Nickelodeon. A little over two minutes, the video portrays a dramatic impact with epic footage and exciting scenes. Interesting plot details are revealed and there seems to be some true change in the upcoming book.

For the past several months, the whole community had eagerly been waiting for the release of something like this and now we have finally received it. Interestingly enough, according to co-creator Bryan Konietzko, the only reason for the premiere of the trailer so early was due to the major leakage of four episodes from Book 3 that occurred earlier this week. Had it not been for that leak, we most likely wouldn't even have had this trailer at the current moment in time.

MAJOR Legend of Korra Leakage - Episodes 3-6 Titles, Screenshots, Scenes, & More (NO SPOILERS)

Book 3 - Change (Episode 3) - The Earth Queen After initially seeming like any other boring off-season day for Korra fans, there was a sudden BOOM amongst the community on the internet. Saying "Tumblr went nuts" would most likely be considered an understatement for what went down in those few hours.

As I'm sure you are already aware from the title, this was all a result from major Book 3: Change leaks that were identified, published and shared. The whole buzz began when MundoNick (Nickelodeon's Latin America website) had released four episodes of Book 3 (episodes 3-6) on their page. Obviously this was a complete mistake, but it did not stop several viewers who had caught on with Nick's costly error to quickly download and save the media content. Within a few hours, several screenshots, plot details, and episode information had already surfaced the internet. Of course, the content was removed by now  from MundoNick's official website but people's minds hadn't cleared.

There are several spoilers and footage all over Tumblr as well as footage on YouTube. Fortunately, for all the fans (including myself) who aren't interested in spoilers and would like to wait until the official premiere, there is nothing here that will ruin your enjoyment of officially watching Book 3 as it airs.

If you do want to discover some spoiler content, here is a great place to start.

Book 3 Netherlands Trailer Assuming you have already watched the newly leaked Netherlands Legend of Korra Book 3 trailer, you would know that the quality wasn't too great. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was recorded via potato.

Nonetheless, we are not complaining and nor is the entire Legend of Korra fandom. Something is better than nothing, right? Additionally, we were able to extract some enhanced images of some footage from the trailer, which can be viewed below. If you haven't seen the trailer we are referring to yet, be sure to check it out.

Oogi, Naga, Pabu, & Bolin from Season 3 of Legend of Korra

Here is a scene from Legend of Korra's Season 3 released by Bryan Konietzko on his Tumblr blog. The picture features Bolin, Pabu, Naga, and Oogi.

Additionally, the official Legend of Korra Facebook page even posted the picture from Konietzko's blog post with a hint:

"Oh hey there Oogi, can't wait to see more of you in Book 3!"
The caption specifically draws attention to Oogi, the flying bison. Perhaps it is meant to hint that we will be seeing much more of Oogi, or that maybe he will have a larger role in the plot of Book 3.

First Four Episodes of Legend of Korra Book 3 Have Been Complete

It has been reported that the first four episodes of Legend of Korra's Season 3: "Change" have already been completed. Bryan Konietzko (co-creator of Avatar) shared this news on his Tumblr blog around mid-November when he met with three of his friends from Studio Mir (Korean animation company), who were visiting Los Angeles at the time.

While we do not have an exact release date as of now, we know for sure that Book 3's wait will be much less than Book 2.

Additionally, some sources even anticipate that Book 3 will be premiering in 2014. While this is not officially confirmed, it seems quite likely.
